We are a not-for-profit association in British Columbia. Our mandate is to serve the community around the Cowichan Valley and its surroundings.
We are under the direction of the RCMP at all times and it they who determine the need for a ‘callout’. Once on a ‘task’, all available personnel respond to the callout and a search or rescue is initiated.
The schedule for Cowichan SAR's Ground Search and Rescue Course for 2009 is out for all to see.
